Heather Macias

Dr. Macias is an assistant professor in the College of Education, Teacher Education, at CSU, Long Beach. Both her scholarship and teaching focus on CRP, multilingual students, and educational social justice issues. Her current research explores the preparation of secondary ethnic studies teachers, and how teachers can utilize historically marginalized students’ dark funds of knowledge for learning.
