A proven, NSF-funded curriculum helping undergraduates from any discipline build AI solutions for real community problems.
The AI for Social Good curriculum has been adopted across 3 universities and 4 disciplines — Management Information Systems, Management, Computer Science, and Geography. It requires no prior AI knowledge from students and scales from a single class module to a full semester project.
Ideation
Students identify a social problem aligned with a UN SDG and propose an AI-powered solution through research, design thinking, and team presentation.
Prototyping
Students build and deploy working AI prototypes in partnership with community stakeholders, using a 7-lab OpenAI sequence.
Vibe coding version coming soon
"The AI4SG framework gave my Geography students a meaningful way to connect computational thinking with real environmental challenges in our community."
— Dr. Gabriel Granco · Cal Poly Pomona
"Students who had never written a line of code built working AI prototypes by the end of the semester. The scaffolding makes it accessible to everyone."
— Dr. Yu Chen · San José State University
